Time to talk
A confidential conversation before treatment helps me understand your needs and comfort.
You do not need to know anything about reflexology or arrive already relaxed. I’ll explain everything and give you time to settle at your own pace.
Your first appointment starts with a private conversation about your general health, comfort and what has brought you to reflexology.
There is no pressure to share more than you want. The conversation simply helps me shape a safe and comfortable treatment around you.
A confidential conversation before treatment helps me understand your needs and comfort.
Position, pressure, warmth and conversation can all be changed to suit you.
You do not need to react, relax quickly or make conversation.
Once settled, I begin working gently across both feet. You can close your eyes, talk or enjoy the quiet.
If you are ticklish, sensitive or unsure about pressure, simply say so. Nothing is fixed.
I’ll let you know when the treatment has finished and give you a moment to become fully alert before getting up.
There is no required after-treatment routine. Listen to your body and continue your day gently where possible.
Knowing what will happen can make that first visit feel much easier.
Arrive, get your bearings and ask any immediate questions.
Talk privately about health, comfort and anything I should consider.
Settle comfortably while I work across both feet.
Take a moment, put your shoes back on and discuss anything you noticed if you wish.
There is no need to fast; a very heavy meal immediately beforehand may feel uncomfortable.
Loose, comfortable clothing helps you settle.
The first appointment includes an initial consultation.
Tell me about relevant diagnoses, medication, pregnancy or recent treatment.
There is no right way to receive reflexology. Your appointment can be quiet, chatty or somewhere between.
That is completely understandable. I’ll explain each stage and nothing begins until you feel ready.
Reflexology uses purposeful pressure rather than light stroking. Pressure can still be adapted.
No. Once the initial conversation is complete, quiet is entirely welcome.
Yes. You remain in control and can pause, change position or stop at any time.
If you have questions before booking, I’ll be happy to talk them through.
